Terms of sale.

Last updated date to confirm before launch.

These terms apply to every order you place on sakhiya.co.uk. They don’t affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About us

Sakhiya is operated by legal name / trading status, e.g. Soumya Gajawada trading as Sakhiya, full postal address, Braintree, Essex, UK. Email: sakhiya.uk@gmail.com. Company number / VAT number if applicable

2. Our products

Our jackets are made in Jaipur, India. Small variations in colour and measurements between pieces are normal and are not faults. All our jackets are one size (“Free size”); we show the measurements on each product page where we have them, and we’re happy to help if you’re unsure. Choosing a jacket that doesn’t suit you is covered by your 14-day right to cancel (clause 6). Photos are as accurate as we can make them, but colours can look slightly different on different screens.

3. Prices

Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). VAT: confirm whether prices include VAT, or that Sakhiya is not VAT-registered Delivery is added at checkout and shown before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but the price you see when you pay is the price you pay.

4. Placing an order and payment

When you check out, you’re sent to a secure Stripe page to pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it, and a contract is formed, when we confirm your order by email or dispatch your jacket. If we can’t fulfil an order, for example because an item is out of stock, we’ll tell you promptly and refund you in full.

5. Delivery

We deliver to UK addresses only. Delivery is by Royal Mail Tracked 48 (tracked) at £3.95 per order, usually 2–4 working days. We aim to dispatch within 2–3 working days of your order. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. If we haven’t delivered within 30 days of your order, you can cancel and we’ll refund you. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to you.

6. Your right to cancel (14 days)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days, for any reason. The 14 days start the day after the goods are delivered to you.

  • To cancel, tell us clearly in writing, for example by emailing sakhiya.uk@gmail.com, with your name and order details. You may use the model cancellation form but you don’t have to.
  • Send the goods back to us without delay, and within 14 days of telling us you’re cancelling. They should be unworn, unwashed and in the condition you received them, with any tags attached. You’re responsible for taking reasonable care of them until we receive them.
  • We’ll refund the price of the goods and standard delivery within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of you providing proof of postage, whichever is earlier. We refund to the original payment method.
  • You pay the cost of returning the goods, unless they are faulty or not as described. Confirm return postage policy We recommend using a tracked service, as you’re responsible for the goods until we receive them.
  • We may reduce your refund if the goods have lost value because you handled them more than was needed to check them.

Return address: returns address.

7. Faulty or misdescribed goods

By law, goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose (Consumer Rights Act 2015). If your jacket is faulty or not as described, email sakhiya.uk@gmail.com with a photo and your order details. You have a right to reject faulty goods within 30 days for a full refund, and we will put right any fault that appears within six months by repair, replacement or refund as the law provides. In these cases we pay for return postage.

8. Our liability

We’re responsible for foreseeable loss or damage that we cause by breaking these terms or by our negligence. We don’t exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to exclude.

9. Your data

How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy policy.

10. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please email sakhiya.uk@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to put it right. If we can’t resolve it, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution provider. Optional: name an approved ADR provider
